About Us

My name is Matthew Hewitt and I am the Producer of the company.

Our Aim here at MJH Productions is simple: To create an exciting and friendly environment where every single cast member has the opportunity to develop their talents and abilities to the capacity. To produce engaging and outstanding productions that will long be spoken about in our area and beyond.

We still perform in professional plays, musicals and Pantomimes all year round as it is important for us to keep very much in touch with what is happening in the industry today.

The creative team here at MJH Productions have all worked professionally in the industry for many years and our CV’s include working with Matthew Bourne’s company, playing lead roles in West End productions of ‘Fame’ and ‘Blood Brothers,’ UK A1 and World Tours, creating original choreography for West End productions and appearing on the major television channels.

Will have also helped our younger cast members gain entry into performing arts colleges and drama schools by passing on the experience, techniques and methods that we have acquired during our careers in the business. We have helped students gain places at Guildford, East 15, RADA, LIPA, Arts Educational and The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Ex-students include Lucy Barker, Alex Lodge and Harry Marcus.

After our most recent productions of The Phantom of the Opera’ an amateur group production 2018 and ‘Jesus Christ Superstar @ St Wulframs – 2019’ were widely regarded as stunning productions our next production ’Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat – @ St Wulframs – an amateur production,’ will be a fantastic production that boasts a cast of over 150 and we are extremely excited to have been granted the full adult performing license by The Really Useful Group.

Rehearsals will be on Tuesday evenings from 5.30pm – 8.15pm and on Sunday afternoons from 2pm – 5pm.
